One of the interesting things I do is identifying implants. Came across an IMZ implant that needed removal due to loss of bone, and failure of restoration because it was connected to a natural tooth. Failure was actually due to loosening of restoration. One of the downfalls of IMZ system…the plastic intermediate “intra-mobile” component. It requires to be replaced routinely as it can wear.
